Since 2018, we’ve reached nearly 17 million people in six countries in Africa and Asia. By working in partnership with people with disabilities and their representative organisations, we’re creating a world where there are equal opportunities for everyone, and a global future that’s disability inclusive. The consortium
The Inclusive Futures initiative is made up of international development organisations, technical experts, experienced researchers and local partners.
Our aim is to pool resources to create innovative solutions and remove barriers that prevent people with disabilities from accessing education, health care and work.
What makes us different?
We work alongside disability organisations
Guided by the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and in partnership with IDA, we collaborate with organisations of people with disabilities, from design to implementation.
We gather information that makes a big impact
We test new ideas to find out what does and doesn’t work in inclusive programming. We share this evidence to encourage others to take action, invest in disability inclusion and transform lives.
We have multiple partners with different expertise
We’re a consortium of over 20 partners with a range of expertise. By working together across multiple countries, we create robust evidence that provides insight and guidance to all sectors.
