Light for the World is a global disability and development organisation breaking down unjust barriers to unlock the biggest potential. We focus on the poorest and hardest to reach, because they need it most.

We work with partners, because together we are stronger.

As part of the Inclusive Futures initiative, we support people with disabilities, businesses, and institutions to create more livelihood opportunities. We create enabling conditions in schools for children with disabilities to thrive and reach their full potential. In Bangladesh, we ensure inclusive vocational training and employment. In Kenya, we link micro-entrepreneurs with disabilities to businesses. In Nepal, we create decent work opportunities, including in the coffee value chain. In Tanzania, we support children with disabilities, especially girls, to learn in three remote districts in the Mwanza and Shinyanga regions developing a sustainable model of inclusive pre-primary/primary education.

We're involved in the consortium because…

Inclusion

"...more evidence is needed on inclusive livelihoods; and people with disabilities should be in the driving seat."

Innovations
